Captain Clamity is a smuggler and outlaw pursued by The Inspector and Sergeant Deux Deux. Captain Clamity is the captain of the ship, the Coddled Clam.
The character is more or less a human clam. Captain Clamity works with Crab Louie in Reaux, Reaux, Reaux Your Boat. Crab Louie was an element that was cut from the comic adaptation.
In the cartoon Captain Clamity smokes a huge cigar. The smoking did not pass muster with Western Publishing censors.
