Driving Mr. Pink was shown before the U.S. theatrical release of The Pebble and the Penguin, and the last Pink Panther theatrical short to date.

It is also the middle segment of the last (20th) episode of the second season of the 1993 Pink Panther series. The episode originally aired on April 12, 1995 with The Texas Toads and The Ant and the Aardvark.

Story[]

Pinky calls a taxi to get to an urgent appointment, only to find that the taxi driver is the Voodoo Man, who drives like a maniac.

Trivia[]

This short was animated by David Feiss, a notable guy and animator who was the creator of the Cartoon Network TV series Cow and Chicken (1997-1999) & I Am Weasel (1997-2000).
Somewhat similar to Flippin' Fido (Tom & Jerry Kids), Big House Blues (The Ren & Stimpy Show), Petal to the Metal (He's Bonkers shorts for Raw Toonage), and I'm Mad (Animaniacs), the episode was first released in theaters.
