Extinct Pink is the 62nd episode in the Pink Panther series. It takes place in pre-history ("long, long ago, when the world was young ...and hungry).

Synopsis[]

Pink Panther is hungry and finds a bone, but has to competes with a caveman, a big blue short-tempered dinosaur, and a small green lizard. However, no one gets the bone because it ends up falling into the mouth of a crocodile.

Plot[]

In ancient times, when the world was young and hungry, the Pink Panther is starving until he comes up to large bone. However, a caveman appears and takes the bone for himself, but he runs into a small green deinonychus who takes the bone. Eventually they crash into a large blue Tyrannosaurus Rex. For the rest of the cartoon, Pink, the caveman, green deinonychus and blue T. Rex compete over who gets the bone. Eventually none of them do so, as it falls into an ancient crocodiles mouth.

This cartoon uses the same music score that is often heard in The Ant and the Aardvark shorts (notably heard from Odd Ant Out).
This is the only Pink Panther title card transition whose credits are not on a pink background (instead using a volcano).
