- The comic story Ape Suzette is adapted from the Ape Suzette animated Inspector short.
- Ape Suzette is one of three Western Publishing era Inspector comic stories that features Sgt. Deux Deux. The other two are Sea? Si', Sir! and Le Quiet Squad.
- In the Ape Suzette animated short, the sailor calls the ape Judy. But in the comic story, the sailor calls her Suzette.
