Put-Put, Pink is the 41st episode of the Pink Panther cartoons.

Story[]

The Pink Panther wants to go on a ride with his self-built motorcycle, but it starts driving backwards at a frightening speed, and a policeman tries in vain to catch him for speeding. The panther builds another motorcycle, which splits in two in the midst of the ride, and the other half continues its way. When the panther rides his next vehicle, made out of bed frame bars, he gets caught by the policeman and sent to prison, but then escapes when he gets sent a big cake from his mother by breaking out with a tiny motorcycle that was on top of the cake.

Notes[]

  • First time the Big Nose appears flesh-colored rather than white.
  • This cartoon features a "EAT AT JOE'S" sign. This is a running gag in cartoons from various studios.
  • The cake with motorcycle from was from Pink Panther's mother, could be seen as was a way to forgive him since he brought a rock home as a pet in Pet Pink Pebbles.Although Chronologically this short came before the other one.
  • The cycles the Pink Panther invents were the forerunner of the motorized bicycle, still in use and still popular as of today.
