Sea? Si', Sir! is a comic story from the first issue of the Gold Key Pink Panther comic series. (Western Publishing)
Credits[]
- Script by Carl Fallberg
- Art by Phil de Lara
Notes[]
- Sea? Si', Sir! adapts the Reaux, Reaux, Reaux Your Boat cartoon short of the Inspector cartoon series as a 6 page comic story.
- The comic story is one of only three Inspector comic stories, from the Western Publishing comic run, that features Sgt. Deux Deux. The others being Ape Suzette and Le Quiet Squad. All three stories adapt cartoon episodes. Few, if any other Inspector comic stories, adapted the cartoons.
- From the cartoon, The Inspector, Sgt. Deux Deux and Captain Clamity return for the comic story. The story was rewritten without the other super-villain, Crab Louie. Oddly, the comic story does add The Commissioner, who didn't appear in the cartoon. The Commissioner shows up for 2 panels in the middle, and then after Captain Clamity has been arrested.

Story[]
Page 1[]
- The Inspector and Sgt. Deux Deux are on their police motorcycle, heading for the sea. They have been tasked with finding the notorious smuggler Captain Clamity and are looking at the wanted poster, while operating the motor vehicle.
Page 2[]
- Deux Deux repeats the "Wrong side of the bed" line from the cartoon as the Inspector's motorcycle sidecar ends up in the drink. Deux Deux rows the Police Patrol row boat into the side of the Coddled Clam boat, and they sink. The two return in another row boat and the Inspector yells to those aboard the ship to drop a line as they're coming aboard.
Page 3[]
- Someone aboard the ship, (most likely Captain Clamity, as we see no other members of the ship's crew) drops an anchor on their row boat. They also drop a box with a "Ducky Wucky Peachy Beach Kit", which contains a large inflatable rubber ducky. The Inspector and Deux Deux ride the rubber ducky to shore.
- The Inspector and Deux Deux return with a small red plane. Deux Deux is flying it and the Inspector is on the wing with a parachute. As they approach the ship, the Coddled Clam shoots them down.
Page 4[]
- The Inspector and Deux Deux parachute to safety as they plane cracks up.
- During their progress report, The Commissioner lists off all of the destroyed police equipment and gives them only 24 more hours to finish their mission.
- The Inspector and Deux Deux return to the Coddled Clam aboard the Ducky Wucky inflatable duck. They have a bullet-proof umbrella that protects them from the bullets, but it didn't protect the rubber duck. And they sink again.
Page 5[]
- The Inspector and Deux Deux ride the anchor on to the ship.
- Captain Clamity sings "Yo-Ho! ♫ Fifteen Clams In A Bowl Of Stew ♪".
- The Inspector and Deux Deux get the drop on Captain Clamity, and a fight ensues.
Page 6[]
- The fight ends with The Inspector and Deux Deux inadvertently getting the upper hand, and capturing Captain Clamity.
- The Commissioner shows up in his special Commissioner's Only Police Launch to bring back the Inspector, Deux Deux and their prisoner.
- The Police Launch crashes into a Lighthouse.
- The End.
