The Great Bumpo - 01

The Great Bumpo is the third episode of Pink Panther and Sons. It first aired on September 15, 1984 with Take a Hike.

Story[]

The Rainbow Panthers visit the circus and witness the creepy ringmaster Rottley abusing Bumpo while the latter is performing at the circus, but Rottley's treatment causes Bumpo to abandon him. Some time later, the Panthers encounter Bumpo, whom Panky feed him some peanuts. They attempt to put Bumpo into the clubhouse, which is destroyed due to Bumpo's size and weight. The Howl's Angels notice them, thinking that they're with Bumpo. When Pinky puts Bumpo into a wire, Howl asks him and the Panthers why are they hiding something, but Pinky claims that Bumpo "ain't reached the top floor", forcing the Howl's Angels to leave.

The Howl's Angels encounter Rottley, who suggests them to search for Bumpo. Pinky accidentally puts Bumpo into a truck, which his father hijacks it and drives himself home. When he grabs a briefcase from Bumpo, he is shocked that Bumpo has haunted him. He approaches the truck and realizes that Bumpo is gone when Pinky and Panky took him out. The Howl's Angels are aside from the Pink Panther, who becomes confused at this.

Next, the Howl's Angels find the Panthers and Bumpo at the department store. Pinky asks Bumpo to pose as a couch, but Howl falls on top of him, causing the Panthers and Bumpo to escape from the store. They head into a railway tunnel and Rottley and Howl believe that Bumpo is "trapped in the tunnel" but are running from an incoming train.

When Pinky and Panky approach the city hall to tell the mayor, Rottley approaches Bumpo, who runs into the city hall while escaping from Rottley. Later, Bumpo becomes the star of the city zoo, thanks to the Panthers, and Rottley is arrested for his treatment of animals.
